I am from LA. Came down for a short visit to San Diego. While driving I saw this place was packed, looked online for menu. At first I was scared as I never like chicken meat in restaurants, it always taste so bad and sticky as I prefer fresh poultry. My partner was hungry so thought to try. My my my so good and fresh, the fact of food is it's not spoiled rotten or doesn't have any foul smell. It's fresh crunchy juicy with pickles and fried onions sooooo Yummmmm! Though the place was full It was quick didn't wait more than 5-10 minutes. Service was 10 on 10. Love it! I wish you have more locations here in LA too. And definitely recommend this place and will be back soon!

Crack Shack has the best GF fried chicken I've ever had at a restaurant! I appreciate their commitment to having a dedicated fryer. The restaurant is dog and kid friendly. The indoor-outdoor style is a great place to spend an evening. 10/10 recommend

Holy Moly Sweet Baby Jeeezus!!!! I was losing sleep at night, tossing and turning and so unsettled by my last visit and review of this place I had to come back today. OMG I'm so glad I did because these guys outdid themselves!!!! Vindication never tasted so good. I opted for one of my usual orders of the Firebird Sandwich with a large fries and fountain drink. Wow, wow, wow... I would give this 47 stars out of 5 if I could. Pure awesome!!!! Thank you for bringing back the awesome to lunch. I promise to stay in my ordering lane moving forward however the table next to me ordered the fried chicken and I almost grabbed a breast as it went by... (the chicken, not the server's of course).

We visited the crack shack on Saturday afternoon around 5pm for an early dinner with friends. There was no line and the ordering and finding the table was a breeze. Trying to eat a little healthier, I opted for the power bowl. The chicken al pastor had nice flavor. The veggies, quinoa and egg went well with the salsa verde. Al lin all, it was a nice bowl. Would I come back, maybe. The food was not bad. But I guess there's really no real reason to come here unless you want to eat fried chicken.

The ambiance at the crack shack is like a cool brewery with cool seating inside and out. We got a salted chocolate chip cookie, which tasted great, and the senor croque chicken sandwich which was great with a sunny side up egg, but I would have liked more sauce on it. They have a ton of different kinds of food and drinks and it is nice inside so I wish I would have stayed to eat. The service was great and the burger was piping hot and ready at the stated time. I definitely want to go back and savor the moment.

We were in the area and saw the Crack Shack on Yelp. The restaurant is very convenient because it is off the 5 freeway and offers plenty of parking. They have dine in seating as well as outdoors because they allow you to bring your pets! They have a water station for your dogs if they any as well . The staff were very friendly and it's a great place to eat with a group of friends as they have a bar inside as well. It seems like a quick service style restaurant as you order outside and are given a number, so the staff can find you when your food is ready. They offer unique sauces to go with your sandwich or fries. The sandwiches were really good and the fries were crispy how we like it and seasoned very well! I definitely want to come back and try their fried chicken meal.

The place is quite unique. We had to order by the entrance, the menu can be viewed through the board by the entrance. we got Katsu Lookin and Firebird both have very distinct chicken flavor. The menu is by itself and for side order, it is sold separately. The french fries was super tasty and served hot. What makes this place different than the others is the sauces!!! They have pineapple mustard, BBQ, Sriracha, Ranch, and many more. Staffs are friendly and the place's vibe is more to me like a sports bar with spacious seating area.

This place is fantastic! The food was amazing. I ordered the Cali Drip sandwich which is not for those counting carbs. It was made with spicy cicken,carne asada fries and other yummy ingredients. We experienced super friendly and genuine service. Both the bartender and the person that took our order were great. The atmosphere was also really cool and laid-back. Very family friendly. Dog friendly too. We saw some pups hanging outside.

My wife and I were coming back from an evening in San Diego, and realized that we hadn't eaten yet - and both of us were starving. I remembered that Crack Shack was just off I5, so when we hit Encinitas Blvd, we headed over. We'd been here before, so we both knew what we wanted - she ordered the four piece fried chicken, and I stuck with the Coop Deville, while we split some fries. We ordered drinks at the bar, and within five minutes, our meal was delivered. Once again, Crack Shack hit it out of the park - both meals were simply perfectly done. Definitely a great place to grab a bite....
